“A Fertile Field” – 8 x 10 soft pastel on Canson Mi-Teintes board
This little pastel piece really gave me a hard time. I think I scraped off the bottom 4 times. I just couldn’t get it right. But finally on the 5th try it all seemed to come together. I loved the feeling of the whole landscape in my reference photo being a bit saturated like just after a good soaking rain. Haven’t we all seen a field like this just after rain? Rain is a blessing from God like the fertile ground where the crops are planted… I am so thankful for all of His provisions and blessings!!
