This one was from a photo my son took while wandering around the Emerald Coast. … They don’t call it that for nothing! I had saved it for a while until I was in the mood for a ⛱ beach scene.
It was done primarily with Blue Earths, Schminckes, Senneliers, and some Unisons. This was my first time using the smooth side of the Mi-Teintes, and I really did not love it. There is virtually no tooth to it at all, but I just wanted to experiment since I had read others who really like the surface. I had a very hard time photographing this piece and getting an accurate representation of the work. The blues of the sky are too dark here and the umbrellas not vivid/dark enough, while the whites are not white enough… 😁 it is what it is.
