“Elegant Candy” – 8″ x 10″ on Canson Mi-Teintes Board

I used mostly Sennelier and Unison, with some Nupastel for fine lines on the petals and Faber-Castell pencil on the stamens and pistil. The throat of the flower including stamens and pistil was challenging to get it as smooth as I’d have liked on the Mi-Teintes board. That being said, the rest came together fairly quickly. This piece was done from a photo I took of one of my own daylilies. The actual flowers are just exquisite… the only drawback is they only last one day. The colors of the flower look very different depending on the time of day and light. The name of the daylily is Elegant Candy.
