“Delight in the Catch – Wolf Bay” 9″ x 12″ soft pastel on black UART 600
This pastel painting was done from a photo I took several years back at the old location of @wolfbayseafood at Zeke’s Landing in Orange Beach. I loved the fact that it caught a moment in time there for those fishermen who had just come in to dock. The sunset with the lights on the water just framed the moment so beautifully. I wanted this piece to feel like warm salty air and glowing golden dusk light.
I used mostly @sennelier1887 , @schmincke_official and those brilliant @terryludwigpastels which made the water fairly glisten on black 600 @uartsandedpaper .
